Garbage Patch

Slowly build out your raft using plastic and other trash from the ocean. Craft items to help you prosper, like a sail to travel to an oil spill, or plastic raft tiles to expand your raft.

Below is the original idea and progression path for the game, which I unfortunately couldn't implement in full:

• Collect plastic, cloth, metal, and trash
  • Craft plastic raft tiles
  • Craft a fishing rod from metal poll and cloth
  • Craft a net to catch items from further away
  • Craft a sail with cloth. Sail to oil spill
• Make fire with the player character’s glasses (or a magnifying glass)
  • Fuel with cloth or oil
  • Use fire to cook food
• To smelt metal into more useful stuff:
  • Craft a rope with cloth
  • Craft a bucket with metal
  • Use the bucket and rope to get clay from the ocean floor
  • Put clay over fire to make bricks
  • Use bricks to make furnace
• Use furnace and oil to break down metals into specific ingots
  • Smelt to copper, iron, steel, aluminum, whatever
  • Craft reinforced raft tiles
  • Craft better tools
  • Craft wire from copper and plastic
• To generate power with oil:
  • Craft a boiler with steel or iron or something
  • Craft a turbine with wire and metal
  • Craft a generator with wire and steel/iron
  • Use a furnace, a boiler, and a generator to make electricity
  • Byproducts: fresh water and brine
• Craft a motor with wire, some metals, and connect it to your power generation
• Craft a drill and mine rocks on the seafloor
• Craft a battery with more advanced seafloor metals
